I see your joy in the sun as it peaks above the horizon;
I see your joy in the clouds that change from white to yellow, to orange to pink, to gray;
I see your joy in the magnificently ragged mountains, and the exhilaration at their peaks;
I see your joy in the flight of the sparrow from branch to branch, in the wings of the eagle, balancing the currents of winds ever-changing;
I see your joy in the silhouette of the palms at dawn, swaying to their own sweet music;
I see your joy in the ripples on the lake, left by the fish that dreams to feel flight;
I see your joy in the smile of the new moon as it lights our world, while still leaving darkness for the beauty of the stars;
I see your joy in the patterns of stone, the rushing of water, the flow of the clouds, the persistence of the sun.
If I had to decide just one lesson you taught best, it is that joy is everywhere in this world if you but choose to look.
